AT THE Y, WE GIVE CHILDREN A CHANCE TO TUMBLE, FLIP AND SO MUCH MORE

The goal of the YMCA’s Gymnastics Department is to provide a positive gymnastic experience. We help build self-esteem through accomplishments, develop an awareness of safety through the practice of skills, and instill the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. All of the programs are progressive, building upon basic skills and progressing toward mastery of techniques, and eventually toward other aspects of gymnastics and the potential for lifelong involvement in gymnastic programs.

Just 2s & 3s

Develop basic gymnastics skills, learn group work, and following directions. Parent participation required. Wear a leotard, shorts (optional), and bare feet. 30 minute class for age 2 & 3.

Preschool

Learn the skills that aid in coordination and body control using a balance beam, vault, floor, bars. Wear a leotard, shorts (optional), and bare feet. 45 minute class for ages 4-5.

Young Beginner

Your child will learn skills on the balance beam, vault, floor, and bars. Wear a leotard, shorts (optional), and bare feet. 45 minute class for ages 6-7.

Beginner

Gymnasts progress to intermediate skills on balance beam, vault, floor, and bars. Wear a leotard, shorts (optional), and bare feet. 45 minute class for ages 8 and up.
