Our Partners

Thanks to a professional and dedicated staff, volunteers, and Community Partners – who provide such services as: parenting education, drop-out prevention education, mental health/counseling, tutoring/academic assistance, mentoring, college and career readiness, extracurricular activities, community service opportunities, employment assistance (includes job readiness skills services), financial literacy, as well as other family support services, as needed – PRB is able to effectively serve this at-risk, and often-need, demographic, achieving encouraging outcomes.

In fact, those who have gone through PRB emerge with improved attendance, better parent-child relationships and better family- school relationships, if not an improved outlook on their lives and their futures. Part of PRB’s desired outcomes is to reduce the recidivism rate, since the program was launched the recidivism rate has remained at only 1%.

Some of PRB’s key partnerships include: the Gary Community School Corporation, Gary Youth Services Bureau, the City of Gary, Gary City Court and Gary Police Department,  Lake County Juvenile Probation, Geminus Community Partners, Department of Children Services, Work Driven Solutions (WDS), East Chicago School City, North Township, East Chicago Housing Authority, City of East Chicago, East Chicago City Court and the Lake County Superior Court – Juvenile Division (which recently concurred that they should highly consider adopting PRB as the county-wide model for addressing truancy in Lake County).

If you or your organization are interested in being a PRB partner, please contact us. Please note that preference is given to those Community Partners who utilize, if are not certified in, evidence-based programming in the services they provide to PRB.  This is due to the fact that PRB was formulated to be a strength-based approach to assisting families with intervening in truancy and preventing truancy in future students in their household.

PRB is specifically interested in partnering with those who provide extracurricular activities for youth, mentoring, service learning, family counseling, life skills training (includes college and career readiness), and those who work with special needs families.

About PRB Foundation

Project Rebuild (PRB) is a six-week program designed to reduce truancy among students. It seeks to determine the root causes of truancy, enabling program staff, providers, and other community stakeholders to collaboratively develop efficient case plans for each family that address specific, identified areas of concern.
